I am excited to apply the skills and growth I have discussed in the previous tabs when transitioning from the University of Maryland into an accounting career. All of these new skills and improved professionalism will ease my worries moving on to the next internship or work experience because I know what to expect. But, the most important part of my internship that I will apply moving forward is the new resources I have found through the accounting team and all of ABET. I have made an effort to connect with many of them on LinkedIn and hope they will be able to give me some much-needed advice when the time comes. I really valued how much each and every one of them was ready to help me even with their own busy schedules and deadlines and I can trust that when I take the steps to move forward in my career I can use my network to help make tough choices and learn even after my time at ABET is up. Many people get caught up in the hard skills they learned, but something the business school and my work on campus have taught me is that with the right network of support you can reach any goal.
